This one was a free download from project Gutenburg.  It gives the life story of Billy and is a compelling read.  It is interesting to see the different aspects of his life and the struggles that the hunters went through.

A compelling story of two brothers through the war and adventures on the plains.

Project Gutenburg also has a large collection of Wild West original texts, including books on Buffalo hunting.
